- In 2016, 49,170 children aged 0 to 14 and 37,105 persons aged 65 and over were enumerated in Division No. 6, representing respectively 18.7% and 14.1% of the total population.
- The working age population (15 to 64) represented 67.2% of the total population. In comparison, for Canada the proportions of children, of seniors and in age of working were 16.6%, 16.9% and 66.5% in 2016.
