- In 2016, 107,215 children aged 0 to 14 and 81,810 persons aged 65 and over were enumerated in Halton, representing respectively 19.5% and 14.9% of the total population.
- The working age population (15 to 64) represented 65.5% of the total population. In comparison, for Canada the proportions of children, of seniors and in age of working were 16.6%, 16.9% and 66.5% in 2016.
