Population and Dwelling Count Highlight Tables, 2011 Census
About the data
These tables provide population counts and counts for total private dwellings and private dwellings occupied by usual residents, established by the 2011 Census of Canada. The levels of geography covered include provinces and territories, census subdivisions (CSDs) (municipalities), census metropolitan areas (CMAs) and census agglomerations (CAs), census divisions (CDs), population centres (POPCTRs), designated places (DPLs), federal electoral districts (FEDs) (according to the 2003 Representation Order), economic regions (ERs), and statistical area classification (SAC). The geographic boundaries of these areas are those that were in effect on January 1, 2011 (the geographic reference date for the 2011 Census of Canada).
